The role reports to the Thin Films Engineering Manager and sits on site in the fab.\nLocation:Albuquerque, NM (on-site)\nLevel:5+years of experience\nJob type:Full-time, exempt, MUST BE A US CITIZEN\nWhat you'lldo\nOwn deposition processes for dielectric, metaland barrier/liner films (e.g., SiN, Ti, TaN, TiW, Cu seed) on PVDorPECVD platforms.\nDevelop and optimizerecipes for thickness, uniformity, stress, refractive index, step coverage, resistivity, compositionand defectivity.\nRun designed experiments (DOE) and use statistical methods to characterize process windows and set robust specs.\nSustain high-volume production: monitor SPC charts, respond to out-of-control events, disposition materialand drive corrective actions.\nLead root-cause investigations into yield, reliability and defect excursions using 8D, FMEAand fishbone methods.\nQualify new tools, chambers, chemistries, targets and precursors, including chamber matching and fleet transfers.\nPartner with equipment engineering on preventive maintenance, chamber seasoningand uptime improvement.\nSupport technology transfer of new nodes and device structures from R&D into manufacturing.\nDrive cost reduction through consumable life extension, throughput gains and precursor or gas usage optimization.\nWrite and maintainprocess specs, control plans, OCAPsand change-control documentation.\nWorkwith suppliers on hardware, materialsand process issues; present results to cross-functional teams and management.\nOwn yield for assigned products or technologies, tracking line, dieand final test yield against targets.\nRun split lots and DOEs to verify fixes and quantify yield gain.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or Chemistry \nHands-onprocess experience with PVDand/or PECVD in a wafer fabor advanced R&D cleanroom\nWorking knowledge of vacuum systems, plasma physics, gas-phase and surface chemistry, and film growth mechanisms.\nStrong statistical analysis skills, including SPC, DOE, hypothesis testingand regression.\nProven structured problem solving, such as 8D or 5 why’s\nClear communication of technical findings to engineers and management.\nMust be a US citizen\nPreferred qualifications\nBackground in new product introduction (NPI) or technology ramp to high volume.\nMachine learning or advanced analytics applied to manufacturing data.\nHands-onexperience analyzing large manufacturing datasets with JMP, SQL, Pythonor similar tools.\nBackground in metallization and interconnect (barrier/seed, Cu, Co, Ru) or back-end-of-line processes and integration.\nWhat we offer\nCompensation:Based on experience, paid relocationand equity.\nBenefits:Medical, dental and vision coverage, IRA, paid time off and holidays, tuition assistanceand relocation support.\nImpact:Direct visibility into how your work moves faboutput and product margins.\nRelocation:support available for qualified candidates.\nWork environment and physical requirements\nThis role splits time between the cleanroom and the office.
