About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated undergraduate student to join our DevOps internship track and contribute to the infrastructure, automation, and delivery processes supporting our software systems.
You will work with our development team on practical, supervised tasks involving development environments, CI/CD pipelines, containers, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and technical documentation. The internship combines structured learning with contributions to our existing applications and new system development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with setting up and documenting consistent development and testing environments.
Help containerize applications and maintain Docker configurations.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for building, validating, testing, and deploying applications.
Support code quality checks and automated validation.
Assist with application logs, monitoring dashboards, and basic troubleshooting.
Write small automation scripts for repetitive development and operational tasks.
Maintain deployment guides, troubleshooting notes, and developer onboarding documentation.
Collaborate with developers and testers, participate in reviews, and demonstrate completed work.
Infrastructure and deployment changes will be performed under mentor supervision.

Requirements
Who Can Apply:
Undergraduate students studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, preferably in their second or third year.
Candidates with basic programming knowledge and an interest in Linux, cloud technologies, automation, and software delivery.
Students who demonstrate curiosity, clear communication, problem-solving skills, and consistent commitment.
No previous professional DevOps experience is required.
Basic Requirements:
Familiarity with Linux commands, files, permissions, and processes.
Basic understanding of Git and version control.
Basic networking knowledge, including IP addresses, ports, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS.
Familiarity with scripting or programming, such as Bash, Python, or JavaScript.
Ability to document work, investigate problems, and communicate findings.
Willingness to actively use AI tools for learning, scripting, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation, while understanding, verifying, and explaining the resulting work.
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to any of the following is an advantage; familiarity with every tool is not expected:
Docker and Docker Compose.
CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
AWS fundamentals, particularly EC2.
Code quality tools such as SonarQube.
Monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
Web servers, application deployment, or infrastructure as code.
WORK MODEL & COMPENSATION;
Workdays: Sunday to Thursday. (unless mentioned otherwise).
Shift time: Flexible, per agreement with your supervisor. (Possible shifts: 9a–12p, 12–3p, 3–6p, 6–9p, or 9–12p.).
Minimum commitment: 3 hours/day
Payment: 3,000 EGP
Extra hours billed at 45 EGP/hour.
Interns will use their personal email for communication.
