This role is ideal for an engineer with strong front-end development experience who is also comfortable working across the full application stack.\nThe Full-Stack Software Engineer will build responsive, intuitive user experiences using TypeScript and React, develop and integrate backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI, and take features from initial design through deployment and operation in AWS. The position works closely with developers, analysts, and subject matter experts to translate complex mission and user requirements into practical software capabilities.\nAs part of a small, multidisciplinary team, this role provides meaningful ownership of the features developed and the opportunity to influence both the user experience and technical direction of the platform.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain responsive, user-facing applications using TypeScript and React.\nTranslate complex workflows, data, and analytic capabilities into intuitive and effective user experiences.\nDesign, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI.\nIntegrate front-end applications with backend APIs, data services, and other OMEN platform capabilities.\nOwn software features throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment.\nDesign and manage database schema changes and migrations using Alembic.\nBuild and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and application deployment.\nDeploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and scale applications in AWS environments.\nWrite clean, maintainable, well-tested, and documented code.\nParticipate in code reviews, architecture and design discussions, and technical planning.\nCollaborate with developers, analysts, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and deliver effective solutions.\nContribute to engineering standards, development practices, and continuous improvement across the OMEN team.\nRestrictions\nNo telecommuting\nNo Agencies Please\n Requirements\n3-5 years of professional software engineering experience developing production applications.\nStrong proficiency in Python.\nUS Citizenship\nProfessional experience developing modern front-end applications using TypeScript and React.\nHands-on experience developing APIs and backend services using FastAPI.\nExperience managing database schema migrations using Alembic.\nExperience using GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience deploying and operating applications in AWS.\nSolid understanding of software design principles, testing, debugging, and application performance.\nDemonstrated ability to develop and deliver features across both the front end and backend of an application.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.\nAbout the Company\n3GIMBALS accelerates innovation and discovers the unknowns to support the United States and its allies in maintaining a strategic and competitive advantage in statecraft, security, and law enforcement missions.
