This role is primarily responsible for booking vendor invoices into the company's procurement system (Procurify) and routing them to the appropriate manager for review and approval, as well as preparing recurring month-end journal entries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with high volumes of transactional data in a fast-paced accounting environment.\nWHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO\nBook vendor invoices into Procurify accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring correct coding by vendor, entity, department, and general ledger account.\nRoute booked invoices to the appropriate manager for review and approval and follow up to ensure timely turnaround.\nTrack outstanding invoices and approvals and escalate delays that could impact month-end close or vendor payment terms.\nPrepare and post month-end journal entries, including prepaid expense amortization schedules and entries, depreciation and amortization journal entries for fixed and intangible assets, intercompany journal entries and support intercompany reconciliations.\nMaintain supporting schedules and documentation for recurring journal entries in accordance with internal controls and audit requirements.\nAssist with reconciling sub-ledger activity (e.g., accounts payable, prepaids, fixed assets) to the general ledger.\nRespond to internal inquiries regarding invoice status, coding, and approval routing.\nSupport the accounting team with ad hoc data entry, filing, and month-end close tasks as required.\nIdentify opportunities to improve data entry accuracy and efficiency within Procurify and other accounting systems.\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\n2-5 years of experience working within an accounting department, with a focus on data entry and transaction processing.\nBasic understanding of IFRS accounting principles.\nWorking knowledge of accounting and/or procurement software (experience with Procurify and NetSuite considered an asset).\nPost-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.\nHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail when processing high volumes of transactions.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines around month-end close.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and general comfort learning new accounting/ERP systems.\nClear written and verbal communication skills for liaising with managers and vendors.\nAbility to work independently and reliably in a remote work environment.\nA proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to take on additional tasks as needed.\nWHAT DO WE OFFER?\nCompetitive compensation ($65,000 to 70,000 CAD) including discretionary bonus\nUnlimited Vacation Days\nRemote-first team with a flexible work environment focused on results\nOpportunity to work at the forefront of an innovative, fast-growing industry\nCollaborative, low-ego culture with a strong execution mindset\nAnnual company offsites to connect, collaborate, and recharge\nBirthdays off to celebrate your day your way!\nSupportive parental leave policy designed to prioritize family and well-being\n3iQ is an equal opportunity employer.
