Here, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter.Job Description:\nPosition Summary\nThe APAC Trade Compliance Analyst - Export Controls provides regional support for export control compliance activities across Asia Pacific. This role is responsible for supporting core export control processes, including Business Partner screening, product screening, End-Use screening, ECCN-related activities, license management, and shipment block reviews.\nThe role partners closely with cross-functional teams to help ensure effective and sustainable compliance processes, maintain data quality, support audits and assessments, and drive continuous improvement in export control operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide operational support to countries in Asia Pacific and the U.S. on export control matters, including: - Business Partner screening, including sanctions and restricted party screening\nProduct screening and ECCN-related support\nSupport compliance risk assessments and contribute to the development and implementation of policies, standards, procedures, and job aids to enable sustainable compliance across the region.\nServe as a subject matter resource on Business Partner screening, product screening, and End-Use screening processes.\nPartner with peers and cross-functional stakeholders to drive operational excellence in: \nLicense management\nShipment block review and resolution\nProcess execution and controls\nData quality and process improvement\nMaintain trade and regulatory data standards, procedures, and process documentation.\nHelp ensure business process functionality and export control/ECCN data quality are maintained.\nRespond to internal and external inquiries request regarding export control data, audits, and compliance reviews.\nSupport internal and external audits, both domestic and international, related to export control compliance.\nConduct annual reviews of business unit processes, controls, activities, and data to assess overall compliance effectiveness.\nCollaborate with Legal Counsel, business teams, Regional Compliance Managers, and other stakeholders to address screening, export control matters and ECCN-related questions, issues, and escalations.\nLead or support continuous improvement efforts related to Business Partner screening, ECCN processes, and compliance controls.\nProvide support in managing challenges raised by customs or regulatory agencies related to ECCN classifications.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in Trade Compliance, Export Controls, or a related area\nAbility to work effectively in a regional role aligned to Singapore time zone\nFluency in English and Mandarin to support collaboration with stakeholders in the China market\nSkills\nBasic knowledge of Export Controls, especially in BIS Entity Lists and OFAC designations is a plus.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and regions\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, with the ability to analyze large data sets\nProficiency in powerBI, Microsoft flow, sharepoint knowledge is a plus\nLearn more about 3M’s creative solutions to the world’s problems at www.3M.com or on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn @3M.Safety is a core value at 3M.
