Here, you will make an impact by:\nWorking with global Application Engineering, Product Development, Sales and Marketing personnel to develop and replicate high impact applications for consumer and industrial electronics.\nIdentifying the best 3M solution for an application by thoroughly understanding customer needs, testing, and trial results. Communicate results to customers and global application engineering team through written reports and presentations.\nRepresent the entire range of 3M portfolio for Display and Electronics to our customers, through presentations, training, conferences and other technical interactions.\nProviding launch support for new product programs by generating supporting documentation, demonstration tools, videos, and training materials.\nBuilding a deep understanding of customer needs and competition for the electronics market and provide “Voice of Customer,” new product ideas and competitive analysis.\nSpecify 3M products at key OEM’s and Tiers on engineering drawings and provide support required to transition business to manufacturing locations throughout zones, regions, and subsidiaries.\nDevelop lab infrastructure to support business plans, plan for equipment, inputs for lab capex planning, work with engineering for procurement of equipment by providing the right specification.\nProvide training to 3M teams, distributors, online training, field / shop floor training to customers for proper use of 3M solutions, preparing training calendar and training modules, feedback and other documentations, etc. Devise ways to use e-tools to help the sales team to improve productivity. \nQUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering from any reputed institution/ University with Materials science/ Electronics / Physics / Chemistry as the major subject.\nMinimum around 5 years of work experience in R&D, product development, and/or applications engineering. Preferably, experience in customer-facing interactions in electronics segment.\nExperience with tapes, adhesives, conductive materials, TIM, etc., and knowledge in converting processes like die-cutting and slitting would be an advantage. \nDesign-in and solutions development capability - Ability to engage with OEM and Tier-1 engineering teams, interpret technical requirements, recommend suitable 3M solutions, create validation plans, and support customers through full design-win cycle.\nHands-on application testing & troubleshooting - Proficiency in conducting product evaluations, performance testing, failure-mode analysis, and providing on-site technical support to ensure successful integration of 3M solutions into customer designs.\nIndependently deliver specifications wins (new or replacement from competition) through the customer value chain \nGood understanding about IP protocols and procedures.\nExploratory mindset and aptitude to identify new applications, new opportunities and customer pain areas and value selling.\nShould be a team player, able to plan and work independently with minimum supervision.\nShould be able to network effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers and should have good customer account management skills.\nStrong analytical, presentation and communication skills.\nExperience with creating collateral materials, such as digital content and other demonstration tools for electronics applications.\nThis role requires about 30-40% domestic travel.\nLearn more about 3M’s creative solutions to the world’s problems at www.3M.com or on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn @3M.Safety is a core value at 3M.
