With global locations, technologies and products, 3M is a place where you can collaborate with other curious, creative 3Mers.\nThis position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.\n3M is seeking Expansion Operator candidates for 3M Chelmsford, MA\nFull- time 3rd shift 11:00 pm-7:30 AM\nStarting Rate: $29.81+ Shift Differentials\nNew hires start with 3 weeks paid vacation\nHealth, vision and dental start day one\nEmployee stock discount\n401K Match of 5%\nJob Description: \nThe person hired for the position of Expansion Operator will work at our Chelmsford MAplant site.\nAs an Expansion Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.\nHere, you will make an impact by:\nYour Skills and Expertise\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\nThe fundamental responsibility is to operate various segments of the Expansion Operation to effectively support the efficient setup and production of material.\nMinimum 3 years of Manufacturing Experience\nMES and/or SAP experience\nRequired: (Basic Qualifications) \nPossess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to start\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\nThis position is responsible for the operation of equipment associated with the expansion team.\nWorking from written and verbal instructions, organize and perform all operations necessary to produce the required products in accordance with the production schedule.\nAll work is performed to meet 3M quality standards. Set-up and run all products on the appropriate equipment.\nPerform the necessary preventive maintenance, initiate shop work orders for any conditions that require the maintenance department assistance.\nWork with Engineering and R&D to resolve process problems and scale up new products. Continuously monitor products, equipment and document in-process quality.\nThe operator will be required to assist other operators in the proficient utilization of all equipment and processes.\nUpon completion of each job, move all material to the appropriate area for next operations.\nObserve department rules and document any unsafe acts or conditions.\nRequired PPE must be worn at all times. \nMaintain good housekeeping practices at all times.\nThe knowledge of 3M testing procedures, gauges and process standards is required.\nApplicants who meet the basic qualifications above will be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process\nWork Location: Chelmsford, MA\nTravel: None\nRelocation Assistance: NA\nMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).\nPay Transparency: \nThe starting rate of pay for this position is $29.81.
