You will help improve how 3M manages customs broker performance, filing accuracy, operational visibility, and productivity across the global network.\nYou will partner with cross-functional teams and external brokers to standardize processes, integrate data into control tower platforms, automate performance insights, and deliver measurable improvements in cost, service, productivity, and governance.\nHere, you will make an impact by:\nLeading analytics and continuous improvement initiatives focused on broker management, customs filing performance, productivity improvement, and operational risk visibility.\nSupporting the design, validation, and implementation of standardized customs filing and broker management processes to improve consistency, accuracy, productivity, and governance.\nDeveloping broker performance management frameworks, including scorecards, KPIs, dashboards, service-level monitoring, exception management routines, and business review processes.\nSupporting broker contract standardization and optimization by improving spend transparency, defining service-level expectations, tracking productivity metrics, and strengthening performance governance.\nPartnering with IT, data teams, trade compliance, logistics, transportation operations, and external brokers to integrate broker, customs, transportation, and operational data into control tower and enterprise visibility platforms.\nBuilding automated reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions using tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Python, or related technologies.\nAnalyzing customs filing workflows, broker performance, cycle times, cost drivers, service issues, and exception trends to identify root causes and recommend practical improvements.\nApplying industrial engineering, operations research, statistical analysis, process modeling, automation, AI, and continuous improvement methods to identify productivity and standardization opportunities.\nTranslating complex operational, logistics, and compliance-related data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.\nTracking value realization, communicating progress to leadership, and supporting implementation plans to ensure productivity, cost, service, governance, and compliance targets are achieved.\nYour Skills and Expertise\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Engineering, Business, International Trade, Operations, or a related field, completed and verified prior to start.\nMinimum 5 years of combined experience in logistics, trade compliance operations, customs brokerage, supply chain, industrial engineering, data analytics, process improvement, business operations, or related fields.\nHands-on proficiency with data analysis, automation, modeling, and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau, or related technologies.\nExperience applying AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-driven productivity solutions, within logistics or supply chain environments is preferred.\nExperience working with operational data, performance reporting, dashboards, process improvement, or productivity initiatives.\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\nMaster’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Science, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.\nRelevant certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, APICS, CSCP, CLTD, analytics, customs brokerage, or supply chain certification.\nExperience in customs brokerage operations, import/export processes, broker management, customs filing performance, or trade compliance operations.\nStrong knowledge of broker performance management, including contract governance, supplier scorecards, productivity tracking, service-level monitoring, and continuous improvement routines.\nExperience designing or supporting control tower capabilities, including performance visibility, exception management, broker connectivity, and operational data integration.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze complex processes, identify root causes, develop practical solutions, and implement improvements across multiple stakeholders.\nExperience applying operations research, statistical analysis, workflow optimization, or predictive analytics to improve operational performance.\nStrong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical data, process insights, and operational risks into clear executive-level recommendations.\nExperience leading regional or global projects, including stakeholder alignment, governance, change management, benefits tracking, and executive communication.\nExperience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to support
