You will translate global transportation strategies into effective regional execution while driving improvements in service, cost, reliability, visibility, resiliency, and operational performance.\nThis role leads an organization of more than 20 logistics professionals, including multiple direct reports, with responsibility for developing talent, building organizational capabilities, establishing clear accountability, and creating a high-performing and collaborative team.\nHere, you will make an impact by:\nLeading USAC international Ocean and Air transportation operations, ensuring reliable, efficient, and cost-effective execution aligned with business and customer requirements.\nDeveloping and executing regional transportation strategies aligned with global logistics direction and USAC priorities.\nLeading, coaching, and developing a team of more than 20 logistics professionals, establishing clear priorities, accountability, performance expectations, and development plans.\nEstablishing effective operating models, governance, and management mechanisms to drive consistent execution and operational excellence.\nManaging and strengthening relationships with ocean carriers, airlines, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers, driving performance and continuous improvement.\nDeveloping and monitoring transportation KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards across service, cost, reliability, visibility, and operational performance.\nServing as a regional escalation point for complex transportation issues and driving timely resolution, root-cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions.\nDriving continuous improvement initiatives focused on transportation cycle time, cost, reliability, productivity, process standardization, and service.\nStrengthening end-to-end shipment visibility, data quality, and exception management to enable proactive decision-making.\nPartnering with Planning, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to improve transportation forecasting, capacity planning, cost, and execution.\nMonitoring global transportation markets, capacity constraints, service disruptions, and emerging risks, and developing mitigation and contingency solutions.\nLeading the adoption of transportation technologies, analytics, automation, and digital visibility capabilities.\nProviding strategic insights on transportation capabilities, market conditions, performance, costs, risks, and opportunities to regional and global stakeholders.\nLeading complex, cross-functional initiatives and resolving global logistics challenges across multiple regions, stakeholders, and logistics providers.\nBuilding organizational capabilities and promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer-focused execution.\nYour Skills and Expertise\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or higher or higher (completed and verified prior to start)\nFifteen (15) years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation in a private, public, government, or military environment.\nFive (5) years of experience in domestic and international logistics and transportation, including international Ocean and Air freight.\nThree (3) years of experience leading and developing teams and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\nStrong knowledge of international Ocean and Air transportation, freight forwarding, carriers, and international transportation operations.\nDemonstrated experience leading and developing large logistics teams and building organizational capabilities.\nExperience managing logistics service providers and driving performance through KPIs, scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement.\nDemonstrated experience resolving complex global logistics and supply chain problems across regions, functions, and external partners.\nExperience working in a highly matrixed, global organization and influencing stakeholders across organizational and geographic boundaries.\nExperience developing and executing transportation strategies and translating global strategies into regional execution.\nStrong experience with transportation planning, capacity management, shipment visibility, exception management, and operational escalation.\nExperience delivering transportation cost savings, productivity improvements, process standardization, and continuous improvement.\nLean Six Sigma knowledge and/or practical experience, including structured problem solving, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience with SAP ERP, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), transportation visibility platforms, EDI, Power BI, or related logistics technologies.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to make complex transportation topics clear and actionable.\nDemonstrated ability to lead organizational change and drive adoption of new processes, capabilities, and technologies.\nWork Location\nOn Site - St. Paul, MN - Minimum 4 days in
