Here, you will make an impact by:\nDevelop and implement improvements related to safety, quality, service, and productivity.\nWork closely with production and maintenance teams to perform troubleshooting activities and resolve equipment/downtime issues.\nIdentify improvement opportunities requiring capital expenditure; establish justification and manage projects to completion.\nActively participate in the day-to-day operations, EHS activities, MOC process change management, OEE analysis, and resolution of gaps in performance\nInitiate and lead Continuous Improvement projects. Use project management tools to convey objectives, timelines, obstacles, and next steps.\nEffectively troubleshoot defects and variation, perform root cause analysis, and apply problem solving skills.\nDevelop process standards and other documentation supporting the operation.\nProvide engineering support for assigned areas including occasional availability on nights/weekends. \nYour Skills and Expertise\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.\nTwo (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public, government or military environment.\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\nExperience in a Manufacturing Engineer role (specifically with process equipment).\nExperience leading multi-functional teams through complex projects from planning to completion.\nExperience developing and managing capital budgets and project completion within time and cost projections.\nExcellent problem solving and analytical skills.
