This role will work closely with MDM leadership as well as 3M function leadership to assess needs, bring external best practices, identify strategic opportunities to drive value with Master Data, and help translate long-term goals into actionable plans for the Master Data Management discipline.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsure 3M derives value from Master Data.\nPartner with 3M MDM and 3M functional leaders to develop and refine strategic priorities, annual plans, and multi-year roadmaps.\nConduct internal and external analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, best practices, and business implications affecting Master Data Management.\nSupport strategic initiative planning, including scope definition, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics.\nDevelop executive-ready presentations, reports, and briefing materials for leadership reviews and planning sessions.\nTrack progress against strategic goals and key performance indicators, highlighting risks and recommending corrective actions where needed.\nFacilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment across 3M teams, stakeholders, and enterprise priorities.\nSupport budgeting and resource planning discussions by connecting investments to strategic objectives.\nPerform scenario analysis and provide insights to support decision-making on organizational priorities and strategic trade-offs.\nAssist with special projects and initiatives as required.\nYour Skills and Expertise\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, Economics, Operations, Data Science (completed and verified prior to start) \nSeven (7) years of experience in business operations, consulting, master data managementin a private, public, government or military environment \nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\nMaster’s degree in business administration or related discipline.\nTen (10) or more years of experience in business operations, consulting, master data management or a related field.\nExperience working in a matrixed, global organization.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting data and turning insights into recommendations.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating presentations for senior leaders.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.\nStrong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across functions and organizational levels.\nWork location:\nThis role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.\n\nTravel: May include up to 5% domestic\nRelocation: May be authorized\nMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).\nSupporting Your Well-being\n3M offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
