This role will be based in the Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India and will operate as an individual contributor role Here, you will make an impact by:\nSourcing Category Leadership:\nProviding end-to-end sub-category leadership, serving as the APAC-area leader for silicone-coated paper release liners, pressure sensitive papers, and tape & abrasive backing papers.\nDeveloping and implementing the area category strategy to ensure business continuity, resilience, and value creation.\nDriving year over year profitability & free cash flow improvements through moderate to complex supplier negotiation, supplier development, and identification of alternative sources of supply.\nInfluencing internal stakeholders to prioritize activities that drive cost reduction, working capital improvement, risk reduction, efficiency, and competitiveness.\nEstablishing and managing strategic supplier relationships that provide access to leading technologies and capabilities.\nNegotiating and establishing moderate to complex vendor contract agreements, holding suppliers accountable to competitive prices, high quality and best in class service.\nResearching and analyzing short and long-term market and industry trends.\nCreating solutions for moderate, multi-faceted problems, which requires ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills.\nBusiness reviews with key stakeholders to support collaboration, service, capacity, market insights, savings pipeline, and performance improvement.\nManaging change through effective project goal definition, scenario planning, data analysis, action tracking, and stakeholder alignment.\nParticipate, lead, or recommend continuous improvement projects at suppliers, businesses, or client sites.\nEnsure the integration of sustainability and corporate responsibility into category strategies.\nEnsure compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.\n\nYour Skills and Expertise\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.\nMinimum 10+ years of Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, and/or Manufacturing experience\nDemonstrated skills in negotiation, category strategy development, and managing stakeholders (internal and external)\nExperience working with paper or other raw material roll-goods (e.g., films, nonwovens, etc.).\nProven category leadership and strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.\nAdditional Qualifications That Could Help You Succeed Even Further in This Role\nStrong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.\nStrong systems (AI, ERP, Excel, Power BI) expertise and critical thinking skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communications & experience in engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.\nExperience successfully collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on complex projects.\nStrong business, contract language, and financial acumen with an understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations and experience conducting RFP’s and cost modelling.\nInitiative, self-starter with a positive & proactive approach & good ability to challenge status quo.\nJapanese language ability could be an added advantage\nundefined \nWork Location: Hebbal, Bangalore (Karnataka), Hybrid Mode\nSupporting Your Well-being\n3M offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
