They operate and maintain machinery, ensure production standards are met, finalize products, and prepare them for shipping.\nResponsibilities/The Impact You Will Make in this Role:\nAs a(n) Production Operator you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:\nObserving all safety procedures, maintain a clean and safe work area.\nApplying quality instructions & specifications\nMonitoring the production or packing operation to ensure quality objectives are met.\nLoading/unloading material into & from equipment.\nWorking as a team member through sharing information, problem solving & assisting others\nUnderstanding and following all safety policies and procedures\nFollowing process standards to ensure quality product is produced.\nPerforming data entry and recording required tests and adjusting processes as necessary to meet quality specifications.\nMaintaining excellent housekeeping\nHandling hazardous waste material in accordance with federal and state regulations\nYour Skills and Expertise:\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\nApplicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.\nPossess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)\nOne (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing, production, industrial, plant operations in a private, public, government or military environment.\nAbility to work a 2nd (second) or 3rd (third) shift depending on shift availability, OR ability to work a 12-hour night/rotating shift (approximately 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)\nAbility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required.\nApplicants meeting the basic qualifications above may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as part of the selection process.\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\nDesired:\nPost-high school education\nExperience with control charting, material handling, packaging, chemical manufacturing, and hazardous waste management.\nExperience working with computers in a manufacturing setting.\nAttention to detail, prioritization, self-motivation, teamwork, problem solving, analytical thinking, effective communication skills, strong work ethic, initiative, and a focus on safety.\nAbility to use computers in a manufacturing setting.\nWork Location:\nSpringfield, MO\nTravel: None\nRelocation Assistance: None\nPay Transparency:\nThe starting rate of pay for this position is $20.39/hr., with the potential to reach $27.40/hr.
