Here, you will make an impact by:\nCreating Production and Purchasing Schedules for area of responsibility to meet Service targets\nUtilizing Supply Chain tools and processes to make data-driven decisions to improve Service, Cost, and Inventory\nIdentifying and leading cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive improvements in Service, Cost, and Inventory\nProviding a high degree of analysis to support decision making\nPublishing and presenting relevant metrics and results (ex. Aged Backlog, OTIF, NWI, etc.)\nAnalyzing Capacity to determine alignment with Requirements\nWorking closely with the Business to understand Customers and Forecasts\nWorking closely with Operations to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining target Inventory and Lead Times\nActively managing working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve targets\nThis position may support both the Oak Hills and Monrovia sites\nManages supply chain product flow to support customer requirements.\nSchedules procurement and manufacturing for a specified group of products.\nReviews material flow parameters such as order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, replenishment interval, and recommends appropriate levels to support the business/customer requirements. \nManages raw material and semi-finished inventory buffer quantities. Monitors and reports capacity requirements, special order and stock service levels. \nContinuously works to improve the planning and scheduling process. \nIdentifies ways to improve customer service, inventory investment, and supply chain efficiency to achieve measurable results; participates in implementation. \nThe supervisor provides guidance and is consulted for assistance in problem areas and major changes to supply chain parameters.\nYour Skills and Expertise\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) \nTwo (2) years combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment.\nCurrent Valid Driver's License \nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or Business Analytics from an accredited institution\nASCM (APICS) CPIM certification is preferred.\nThree (3) years combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment.\nExperience with SAP ERP Software\n3M systems experience (Factory Planner, PMCS/IMES, Peoplesoft)\nExperience in Production Planning\nKnowledge of Supply Planning (SP), Demand Planning (DP), and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes\nStrong data mining, data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills\nAdvanced Microsoft Suite experience\nStrong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and self-motivational skills\nExperience working on cross-functional teams.\nExperience utilizing Lean and Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement methodologies.\nWork location: On-site at 3M Oak Hills, CA or at Monrovia, CA\nTravel: May include up to 20% domestic\nRelocation: May be authorized\nMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).\nSupporting Your Well-being\n3M offers many programs to help you live your best life - both physically and financially.
