Here, you will make an impact by:\nEnsures a safe working environment through formal inspections/audits, correcting unsafe behaviors, safety / crew meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures and equipment\nIncident investigation, problem solving and root cause analysis (EHS and quality). Ensure employees receive training as specified\nProvides effective communication to employees through daily interaction, electronic mail, etc. Provide direct supervision and development to production and/or hourly employees\nPlans and coordinates priorities, allocates work assignments, and regulates production process in order to meet specific daily production requirements\nMonitors production rates, yields, and quality of products on a daily basis and provides feedback to employees and supervisor on results\nOrganizes and reviews changeovers with appropriate staff to minimize downtime. Addresses production issues such as scheduling, quality, run time, etc.\nLead/participate in Kaizen continuous improvement sessions, make process suggestions to improve quality and reduce costs, involved with managing tier 1, 2 processes\nInvolved with Lean Management systems deployment, implements cost reduction programs to ensure the efficient utilization of labor, materials, and equipment\nPart of Brockville Leadership Group with responsibility for flexibility to work at any shift. Primary plant management representative during off shifts\nYour Skills and Expertise\nTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment\nOR\nBachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment\nAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:\nAssociate’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution\nPrevious supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment\nExcellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments\nExperience participating in and/or leading Continuous Improvement projects\nGood people skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively\nDesire and experience in leading change\nDemonstrated administrative and computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency\nLocation: Brockville, ON Canada.\nTravel: May include up to 5% domestic/international\nRelocation: Not offered\n3M Canada welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
