The successful candidate will be based in Calgary on a hybrid working basis.\nIn this role, you'll play an important part in keeping our financial processes running smoothly, managing both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities. From overseeing customer invoicing and payments to managing supplier accounts, reconciliations and financial administration, you'll help ensure our financial records remain accurate and our processes operate efficiently. You'll also act as a key point of contact for customer and supplier queries, working collaboratively with colleagues across Finance, Sales, People & Culture and Operations to resolve issues and deliver a positive customer experience.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in transactional finance who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and building effective working relationships in a collaborative, international environment.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nAccounts Receivable\nManage the end-to-end invoicing process, ensuring customer invoices are raised and issued accurately and on time.\nMonitor customer accounts, follow up on overdue payments and carry out debt collection and credit control activities.\nProcess and allocate incoming payments, reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.\nPrepare aged debtor reports and escalate overdue or high-risk accounts where necessary.\nAccounts Payable\nProcess supplier invoices and manage company credit card transactions, ensuring accurate coding, reconciliations and supporting documentation.\nPrepare and execute payment runs in line with company policies and payment terms.\nMaintain accurate supplier records and investigate and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies.\nBanking and Financial Administration\nComplete regular bank reconciliations across US and Canadian accounts, investigating and resolving variances.\nMaintain accurate financial records within NetSuite.\nSupport month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.\nEnsure financial transactions are processed in line with internal controls and audit requirements.\nCustomer Service and Collaboration\nAct as a key point of contact for customer account queries, providing timely and professional support.\nRespond to internal and external financial enquiries, resolving issues clearly and efficiently.\nBuild strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.\nWork collaboratively with Finance, Sales, People & Culture and Operations to resolve billing and payment issues.\nIdentify opportunities to improve financial processes and contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of day-to-day operations.\nWhat You'll Bring\nAt least three years' experience in a similar finance or accounting role, covering both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.\nHands-on experience with NetSuite and Salesforce, or similar financial and CRM systems.\nDemonstrable experience in debt collection, credit control and managing outstanding customer balances.\nExperience processing high volumes of financial transactions accurately and efficiently.\nA good understanding of accounting principles, financial controls and account reconciliations.\nStrong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.\nConfident communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and handle financial queries professionally.\nA proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to investigate discrepancies, resolve issues and take ownership of your work.\nThe ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across different teams and regions.\nExperience supporting finance
