The goal is to deliver quality services on time, while adhering to national regulations, group policies, and industry best practices.\nThe Technical Engineer (Data Sanitization & Information Security), is responsible for developing, maintaining, and scaling media sanitization & production tools capabilities. This role ensures secure, compliant, sanitization of returned devices while also driving the development of new media sanitization products and innovative solutions aligned with evolving business needs, market standards, and technological advancements. Technical Engineer (Data Sanitization & Information Security)also supports Joint Venture (between 3stepIT and BNP Paribas) and external customers when we deliver services, remote and in their environment.\nMain responsibilities & tasks:\nOwn and continuously develop the end-to-end media sanitization portfolio, while actively identifying, evaluating, and introducing new hardware, software, and workflow solutions that meet customer and business needs.\n\nProactively plan and optimize sanitization capacity, tooling, and technical setup\n\nEnsure alignment with media sanitization standards and industry best practices\n\nReduce warehouse stock of non-sanitized devices\n\nEnable faster refurbishment cycles and maximize remarketing value\n\nIdentify and lead innovative initiatives within media sanitization and new technologies (software & products)\n\nDrive development and implementation of new media sanitization products and services\n\nDrive cross-functional initiatives with stakeholders to evaluate and implement new solutions\n\nSupport expansion into new business lines by adapting sanitization solutions & products to different product types\n\nProvide support to production sites in resolving complex sanitization issues and contribute to sales cases as needed\n\nNew center, set-up and implementation\n\nAny additional tasks or duties in UPL defined by the employer\n\nQualifications and experience:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent\n\nMinimum 2 years of experience in information security\n\nExperience with security controls, incident handling, and support\n\nFamiliarity with ISO 27001, R2V3 (or similar frameworks) and regulations (e.g., GDPR, NIS2) is an advantage\n\nStrong knowledge in NIST SP800-88\n\nUnderstanding of basic application security and software development practices\n\nExperience with security tools/vendors is a plus\n\nRelevant certifications (e.g., Azure, AWS) are an advantage\n\nSkills & Competencies:\nStrong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset\n\nAbility to assess risks, solve problems, and prioritize effectively\n\nHigh integrity and ability to handle confidential information\n\nComfortable working in complex, changing environments\n\nProactive, solution-focused, and eager to learn\n\nFluent in Swedish or Finnish and English\n\nWillingness to travel and work on-site when needed\n\nPlease note that the person selected for this role needs to pass the Finnish security clearance (perusmuotoinen turvallisuus-selvitys) OR a criminal record check in Sweden prior to any employment offer.\nWhy should you join us\nWe want you to able to Be Your Best in your job - and we will support you in this.
