The ideal candidate will be a product-minded, hands-on builder with deep LLM/agent experience (tool use, function calling, RAG, evals) and strong systems design/MLOps chops experience. This role requires a dynamic individual who can drive end-to-end delivery of agentic workflows and lead a cross-functional team in sales, operations, marketing, recruiting, and product management. As an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for technical strategy, architecture, and execution of our agent platform.\nResponsibilities\nHelp lead the development of AI Agents, utilizing existing and new services.\n\nIteratively improve on our suite of products using data analysis, A/B testing, and a range of other techniques to improve user experience.\n\nTranslate complex AI challenges into actionable engineering strategies, ensuring the correct choice of models, rigorous evals, efficient implementation, and continued maintenance.\n\nDrive innovation by exploring new AI opportunities and creating 0→1 solutions that push the limits of creative AI applications.\n\nContribute to the long-term vision of AI at 3Y, shaping the roadmap and scaling AI capabilities across the company.\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of software development, including 2+ years of experience in AI development (ideally 1+ year focused on generative AI products).\n\nExperience in the following languages: Python and Typescript.\n\nProven ability to design and implement scalable systems across multiple business lines.\n\nExperience working with cross-functional teams.\n\nAbility to work 5 days a week in our San Francisco or New York office with a fully in-person team.\n\nCompensation\nThe estimated salary range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000. Total compensation for this position may also include stock options.
