This position involves coordinating technical aspects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and facilitating communication between project stakeholders. The APM I will assist in managing schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project milestones while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to dynamic project environments. Ultimately, the APM contributes to delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction in the Arizona region.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nWork collaboratively with the project manager and team to maximize productivity.\nCreate and manage contracts and SOWs (discuss process and streamline).\nSupport submittal process.\nIn charge of close-out manuals and warranty books.\nMake sure all contracts, SOWs, COIs, etc. are being turned around in a timely fashion.\nCoordinate efforts within the team and with outside consultants (architects, owner’s reps, etc.)\nParticipate in weekly updates with directors of operations on PM status log.\nTrack and update job cost files with contract and PO status.\nFollows up with project managers on missing requirements from them and the subcontractors.\nSUBMITTAL PROCESS\nMeet with the operations director and PM to go over project details and scopes.\nSubmittal log to be worked up by the PM and once completed turned over to APM.\nSubmittal log entered in Procore by APM.\nAPM to double check drawings to see if any items/material are missing, create and maintain procurement log for project materials.\nFollow up with subcontractors to acquire physical samples, shop drawings, spec sheets, etc. to send to architect or upload to Procore.\nReport progress of updated submittal log to directors of operations weekly.\nCONTRACT/SCOPES\nMeet with the PM as subs are bought out to input contract information into Procore\nMeet with the PM as subs are bought to confirm scope items and input into Procore\nContract, along with scopes to be sent together to subtractors and tracked as executed\nCOIs should be requested as contracts/scopes are issued to subcontractors.\nCLOSE OUT/WARRANTY MANUAL\nPrior to completion of the project a request should be sent out to subcontractors noting what they will need to provide for close out/warranty of the project.\nThe owner contract and project drawings need to be thoroughly examined on the owner/architect closeout documentation requirements.\nRequirements\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree in CE, Construction Management, or a related field.\nBasic understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.\nFamiliar with submittals, RFI’s, insurance requirements and filing liens.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nStrong communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nInternship or prior experience in a construction or APM role.\nKnowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.\nPositive and encouraging personality.\nReliable, trustworthy, and committed to team success.\nOutstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.\nAble to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment.\nA highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic.\nWorking knowledge of Procore.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nAssist in the preparation and review of project plans, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.\nCoordinate with architects, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve technical issues promptly.\nMonitor project progress by tracking schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, and report status updates to project managers.\nSupport quality control and safety compliance by conducting site inspections and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.\nMaintain detailed project documentation, including change orders, meeting minutes, and correspondence, to support project transparency and accountability.\nSKILLS:\nThe Assistant Project Manager utilizes technical knowledge and analytical skills daily to interpret building drawings and specifications, ensuring project requirements are met accurately. Communication skills are essential for coordinating with diverse teams, including contractors and clients, to facilitate problem resolution and maintain project momentum. Organizational skills enable this person to manage documentation and track project progress effectively, supporting timely decision-making. Proficiency with software tools enhances the ability to create reports, update schedules, and analyze project data efficiently.
