This role also serves as the company's point person for HR compliance (in partnership with a third-party payroll/HR provider), business licensing across the jurisdictions in which the company operates, equipment\ntracking and licensing/registration, and the company's insurance programs (General Liability, Auto Liability, and group medical). This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable owning both the detailed bookkeeping and the higher-level compliance and reporting responsibilities of a growing manufacturing/installation business.\nKEY RESPONSIBILTIES\nAccounting and Job Costing\nMaintain the general ledger and manage the month-end close process in QuickBooks Desktop\nPrepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, financial statements, and management reports\nAssist with job costing by tracking labor, materials, subcontractors, and overhead against project estimates\nReview job profitability and identify cost overruns or variances\nSupport budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and year-end tax preparation\nCoordinate with the company’s outside CPA firm\nBilling, Receivables and Payables\nManage customer billing, payment application, collections, and aging follow-up\nReconcile QuickBooks with the company’s job-management system\nProcess vendor invoices and payments and ensure expenses are assigned to the correct jobs\nMaintain vendor records, W-9s, and year-end 1099 reporting\nPayroll, Tax and Compliance\nCoordinate payroll information with the company’s third-party payroll and HR provider\nAssist with benefits enrollment, employee recordkeeping, workers’ compensation reporting, and other HR compliance requirements\nPrepare and file applicable state and local sales and use tax returns\nMaintain resale and exemption certificates\nTrack business licenses, permits, vehicle and equipment registrations, and required renewals\nInsurance Administration\nAssist with the company’s general liability, auto liability, workers’ compensation, and group medical insurance programs\nCoordinate renewals, claims, certificates of insurance, employee enrollment, and invoice reconciliation\nMaintain insurance documentation required by customers and vendors\nQUALIFICATIONS\nAssociate degree required;
