This role is instrumental in ensuring that our R&D activities, technology transfers, and cross-border collaborations-especially reverse-exports to our South Korea HQ-strictly adhere to U.S. export control laws, mitigating regulatory risks as we expand our business footprint in the U.S.\nResponsibilities\nEAR & U.S. Compliance: Manage day-to-day U.S. export compliance operations, ensuring strict adherence to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) enforced by the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).\n\nLicensing & Classification: Review and approve export documentation, manage technology and product classifications (ECCNs), and oversee export licensing activities, including deemed exports.\n\nTechnology Control Plans (TCPs): Develop, implement, and maintain internal compliance programs (ICP) and Technology Control Plans specifically tailored to the SV office's autonomous driving and software R&D environments.\n\nStrategic Advisory & Risk Mitigation: Provide dedicated compliance advisory for cross-border engineering projects and business deals. Ensure that technology transfers between the SV office, Korea HQ, and international partners do not violate U.S. export control laws, preventing violations that could result in fines or operational disruptions.\n\nU.S. Regulatory Audits & Monitoring: Regularly audit the company's U.S.-based intellectual property sharing, R&D, and development processes.
