We take pride in fostering a safe environment for all employees in our climate-controlled plants. \n\nSummary: The Plating Technician is responsible for the creation and on time delivery of offset printing plates to the Press Department, utilizing, maintaining and troubleshooting our Kodak Prinergy, Kodak Magnus Platesetter and Kimori machines.\nSchedule: 2ndshift, Monday - Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM, or similar. Training may occur at other times.\nSalary Range: $16.00-$18.00 Hourly. Thank you for understanding.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nSet up, configure and operate the computer to print (CTP) plating equipment \nAccess the batching system to view press schedule and identify priority jobs to be completed\nExamine job orders to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, color(s) and special printing instructions\nLiaise with press crew to identify and troubleshoot problems between plate and press\nMonitor department supplies and inform management of any potential production issues that may impact the press schedule\nMonitor equipment and performance ensuring optimum performance and for job quantity reporting along with defect and quality checks\nComplete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.\nEnsure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and is free of safety hazards\n Report workplace hazards to management immediately\nWear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required\nReport all work-related injuries, illnesses, and/or near misses to management immediately\nFollow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations\nRegularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)\nAdhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment\nAttend all department/company meetings\nOther duties as assigned \nFor an extensive list of responsibilities, duties and physical demands/work environment please refer to the attached Job Description.\nEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\nEDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES:\nSix-months to one-year related experience with Kodak Prinergy, Kodak Magnus Platesetter, Kimori or similar brand of equipment \nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalency; or six-months to one-year related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred\nCRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to read and comprehend job assignment tickets and customer instructional specifications\nProficient computer knowledge \nEffectively communicate with all members of the organization \nExcellent attention to detail\nQuality, production, attention to detail, and team oriented \nAbility to adapt to schedule changes based on the needs of production\nAbility to cross train and work in other departments and/or machines \nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
