This role balances customer requirements, driver availability, equipment capacity, regulatory compliance, and operational costs to maximize productivity and service excellence.\nThe Routing & Scheduling Planner works closely with Drivers, Dispatch, Customer Service, Sales, and Operations teams to proactively address delivery challenges and maintain service commitments.\nRoute Planning & Optimization\nDevelop and maintain daily and weekly delivery schedules for fuel delivery operations.\nOptimize routes to maximize asset utilization, increase delivery efficiency, and minimize transportation costs.\nBalance customer service requirements with operational constraints such as driver hours, equipment availability, and geographic coverage.\nMonitor route performance and make real-time adjustments as required.\nScheduling & Dispatch Support\nCoordinate delivery schedules with drivers and dispatch teams.\nAssign work based on customer priorities, driver qualifications, equipment capabilities, and regulatory requirements.\nManage urgent and same-day delivery requests while minimizing service disruptions.\nEnsure adequate coverage for peak demand periods, weather-related events, and operational contingencies.\nOperational Coordination\nCollaborate with Customer Service, Sales, Operations, and Drivers to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.\nCommunicate schedule changes and service impacts to internal stakeholders.\nSupport onboarding of new customer locations by incorporating them into routing plans.\nAssist in managing service recovery actions when delays or disruptions occur.\nPerformance Monitoring & Reporting\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including On-time delivery performance, Route efficiency, Capacity utilization, Delivery volumes, Driver productivity, Customer service metrics\nAnalyze trends and recommend process improvements.\nPrepare operational reports and provide scheduling insights to management.\nCompliance & Safety\nEnsure scheduling activities comply with transportation regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and company policies.\nPromote safe operating practices through effective route planning.\nSupport emergency response planning and fuel supply continuity efforts when required.\nMaintain accurate routing and scheduling records.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve routing efficiency and reduce operating costs.\nParticipate in operational improvement initiatives and technology implementations.\nSupport enhancements to routing software, dispatch systems, and operational processes.\nQualifications\nEducation\nDiploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and operational experience will be considered.\nExperience\n2-5 years of experience in transportation planning, dispatching, logistics coordination, or route scheduling with the BC Lower Mainland\nExperience within fuel distribution, petroleum transportation, logistics, or fleet operations is considered an asset.\nExperience using route optimization, transportation management, or dispatch software.\nWorking Hours\nMonday to Friday 9AM to 5PM with the possibility of transitioning to a rotational schedule in the
