This position involves responsibilities related to network security, specifically the design, configuration, and administration of various security components within the enterprise. The successful candidate will have expertise in security and load-balancing systems, including firewalls, load-balancers, and proxy services. Attention to detail, adherence to processes, and discipline are crucial in this role, given its impact on a production financial environment.\nEssential Functions:\nImplement and maintain firewall policies, including IPS and transparent proxy profiles, to support new technologies and projects.\nManage load-balancers and associated algorithms across multi-datacenter infrastructures to ensure application growth and redundancy.\nCreate and maintain firewall policies, IPS, and proxy profiles with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nDefine firewall objects, group objects, and rules efficiently.\nDevelop connectivity designs in alignment with project/task requirements, employing best-practice technologies.\nImplement and troubleshoot security architecture to address deficiencies and enhance the company's strategic direction.\nRespond to issue escalations and service interruptions as part of the technical team.\nEnsure tasks are completed in accordance with best practices, security guidelines, and timelines.\nManage multiple priorities effectively.\nPrepare technical presentations for management.\nMaintain positive relationships with vendors, consultants, and colleagues.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and product platforms in alignment with business drivers and infrastructure needs.\nEssential Qualifications:\nAdvanced understanding of proxies and related technologies, including SSL Inspection, Web Filtering, and Application Control.\nKnowledge of SSL/TLS security, including certificate inspection, deep packet inspection, and certificate management.\nStrong understanding of firewall logic, including NAT/PAT, VPNs, and remote-access VPNs.\nProficiency in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking design and implementation.\nThorough knowledge of TCP/IP addressing and sub-netting.\nExperience with packet capture and analysis.\nExceptional technical documentation skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nFamiliarity with current best practices in IT standards, principles, and security practices.\nWillingness to work after-hours (evenings and weekends) as required.\nQualifications:\nMinimum 5 years of corporate experience in the United States.\nProficiency in network security technologies including firewalls, IPS, proxy, SSL, NAT, TCP/IP, and Fortinet.\nHands-on experience with FortiNet and Cisco firewall platforms within GUI and CLI.\nFamiliarity with F5 Local and Global Traffic Managers, including iRules configurations.\nBasic understanding of layer 3 protocols (e.g., HSRP, ARP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).\nBasic comprehension of layer 2 technologies, including (Rapid) Spanning Tree Protocol and LACP.\nKnowledge of logging aggregation and reporting via SNMP and SYSLOG.\nClean credit and background required\nPreferred Education/Experience:\nBachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical
