We are dedicated to creating a significant impact for our employees by fostering a culture that sparks innovation and supports professional and personal growth along the way.\nOverview of Role\nWe're looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer with strong Google Cloud experience to help migrate enterprise applications and infrastructure from on-premises environments to GCP. This role involves building cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, configuring networking and security, and supporting the migration of Windows-based applications and supporting services.\nYou'll work closely with Cloud Architects, Data Architects, and application teams to build reliable, secure, and repeatable cloud environments.\nWe're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, can troubleshoot independently, and is comfortable working through the challenges of migrating existing enterprise workloads.\nLocation: Remote - United States\nEmployment Type: Contract for 26 weeks.\nResponsibilities\nBuild and manage GCP infrastructure using Terraform, including projects, VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, Compute Engine instances, storage, and IAM.\nDeploy and configure Windows Server virtual machines, including IIS-hosted applications and supporting infrastructure.\nAutomate Windows server configuration, OS hardening, and IIS setup using Ansible.\nConfigure GCP networking components, including Cloud NAT, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Armor, and connectivity to on-premises systems.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including application deployments using Octopus Deploy.\nSupport the migration of enterprise applications, Windows services, and SQL Server infrastructure to Google Compute Engine.\nConfigure and troubleshoot application connectivity, DNS, firewall rules, and external integrations.\nHelp migrate caching and messaging infrastructure, including Redis, RabbitMQ, and MSMQ.\nImplement cloud security controls, including IAM, Cloud KMS, encryption, and VPC Service Controls where required.\nConfigure monitoring and logging using GCP-native tools and Datadog.\nWork with architects and application teams to troubleshoot migration issues, validate infrastructure, and support cutover activities.\nDocument infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures, and operational handover details.\nQualifications\nExperience: 5+ years in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering, including hands-on GCP experience\n\n5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering.\nStrong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly Compute Engine, VPC networking, IAM, Cloud Storage, Cloud NAT, and Cloud Load Balancing.\nStrong Terraform experience, including writing reusable modules and managing infrastructure deployments.\nExperience managing Windows Server environments, particularly Windows Server 2019/2022 and IIS.\nExperience with Ansible or similar configuration management tools.\nGood understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.\nExperience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience migrating applications or infrastructure from on-premises environments to the cloud.\nStrong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and application connectivity.\nComfortable working directly with architects, application engineers, and client technical teams\n Nice to have:\nExperience with Octopus Deploy.\nExperience migrating IIS applications to GCP.\nFamiliarity with SQL Server infrastructure hosted on Compute Engine.\nExperience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or MSMQ.\nExperience with Google Cloud Memorystore.\nFamiliarity with Cloud Armor, VPC Service Controls, and Cloud KMS.\nExperience with Datadog monitoring.\nExposure to PCI DSS or other\nPlease note, we cannot sponsor or transfer any visas, of any kind, at this time.\n66degrees is an Equal Opportunity employer.
