We want 6sense to be the best chapter of your career. \nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a Software Development Engineer II (Backend) to design, build, and maintain reliable backend services and data-intensive applications. You will work on Python-based services, databases, and data pipelines while collaborating with engineering partners to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Django.\n\nBuild and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and processing.\n\nWork with MySQL, Hive, Trino, and Apache Spark to support data storage, querying, and processing requirements.\n\nImprove service reliability, performance, and scalability through thoughtful design and troubleshooting.\n\nCollaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders on technical design, code reviews, and delivery.\n\nWrite clean, maintainable code and contribute to engineering best practices.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n3+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend engineering.\n\nStrong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Django.\n\nWorking knowledge of MySQL and experience with Hive, Trino, and Spark for data querying and processing.\n\nPractical experience developing or maintaining data pipelines.\n\nStrong understanding of backend fundamentals, API development, debugging, and performance optimization.\n\nAbility to own engineering tasks, collaborate effectively, and deliver production-quality software.\n\nOur Benefits: \nFull-time employees can take advantage of health coverage, paid parental leave, generous paid time-off and holidays, quarterly self-care days off, and stock options.
