This role partners closely with Merchandising, Accounting, and other business teams to ensure vendor agreements are accurately reflected in company systems, financial activity is properly recorded, and discrepancies are researched and resolved timely.\nThe ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, comfortable working with large volumes of data, and able to identify issues and drive them through resolution in a fast-paced retail environment\nKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:\nReview vendor cost support and rebate agreements to understand financial terms and ensure accurate system setup and accounting treatment.\nAnalyze and reconcile vendor rebate, allowance, accrual accurate financial reporting.\nAnalyze financial and operational data to identify trends, exceptions, risks, and opportunities for improvement.\nPartner with Merchandising and Accounting teams to research and resolve discrepancies related to vendor funding agreements.\nPrepare recurring and ad hoc reports and analysis to support management review and business decision-making.\nSupport month-end close activities, including accrual validation and variance.\nMonitor cost support activity for completeness and accuracy and escalate significant issues as appropriate.\nSupport system enhancements, testing, and implementation of process improvements impacting vendor funding and cost support.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nEDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree\nYEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 2+ years\nYEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: NA\nCERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: N/A\nSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:\nWorking knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research complex discrepancies.\nStrong Microsoft Excel Power BI and SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.\nExperience with retail, vendor rebates, promotional funding, or merchandise accounting is a plus.\nExperience with Oracle or other large ERP/accounting systems preferred.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.\nAbility to communicate effectively and collaborate across Accounting, Merchandising, and other business functions.\nSelf-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nIf an hourly or salary range is included in this ad it represents the range 7-Eleven in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
