If you're ready to grow, lead and make a difference, come join our team and help shape the future of convenience.\nThis position will be located 100% in the Irving, TX Corporate Office\nPosition Summary\n7-Eleven is seeking an highly accomplished, experienced litigation attorney to join its Legal team as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor. This role will manage a significant portfolio of litigation and pre-litigation matters across the United States and Canada, with a primary focus on premises liability, personal injury, and general liability claims. The successful candidate will provide practical, business-focused legal counsel, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and help drive effective risk management strategies that support company objectives.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage and oversee a high-volume portfolio of litigation and pre-litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions.\nDevelop and execute litigation strategies in alignment with business objectives and risk tolerance.\nDirect and manage outside counsel, including case strategy, performance, budgets, and overall legal spend.\nProvide legal guidance to business leaders on claims, investigations, dispute resolution, and risk management issues.\nOversee litigation support resources and manage all aspects of e-discovery, including preservation, collection, review, and production of documents.\nAnalyze litigation trends and claims data to identify emerging risks and recommend proactive solutions\nDevelop and enhance litigation processes, reporting, and governance practices to improve efficiency and consistency.\nSupport compliance, policy development, training, and enterprise-wide risk reduction initiatives.\nPreferred Qualifications\nJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active license to practice law.\n5+ years of litigation experience, including management of complex or high-volume case portfolios.\nStrong background in premises liability, personal injury, general liability, or related litigation matters.\nDemonstrated success managing outside counsel and driving favorable business and legal outcomes.\nKnowledge of litigation strategy, claims management, e-discovery, and risk mitigation practices.\nExcellent legal judgment, communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.\nExperience supporting large retail, restaurant, hospitality, franchise, or consumer-facing organizations.\nFamiliarity with litigation analytics, reporting tools, and process improvement initiatives.\nA collaborative, business-oriented approach with the ability to influence stakeholders and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment\nIf an hourly or salary range is included in this ad it represents the range 7-Eleven in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
