Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (11 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders. Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership. There will be a robust series of events that include an in store-experience, hack day, and capstone presentation. The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems.\nWe are seeking a curious and analytical Customer Insights Intern to join the Customer Insights team. This role will support the team in designing, analyzing, and communicating customer research that informs business decisions across Loyalty, Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations.\nExample projects may include conducting customer research on the loyalty program, evaluating customer perceptions of loyalty program features, and supporting concept testing for a major category to understand customer preferences and purchase drivers. The intern will also develop, implement, and manage outreach for The Brainfreeze Collective, an engaging community of 7REWARDS and Speedy Rewards members.\nThis role supports 7-Eleven's goal of becoming more customer-centric by providing insights that improve customer experiences, products, and marketing strategies.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport the design, execution, analysis, and communication of customer research projects.\nConduct research on the loyalty program and evaluate customer perceptions of loyalty program features.\nSupport concept testing and other studies to understand customer preferences, motivations, behaviors, and purchase drivers.\nTranslate research findings into actionable recommendations for business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.\nCollaborate with Customer Insights researchers, research vendors, and business partners across Loyalty, Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations.\nDevelopment & Learning:\nReceive direct mentorship from the Customer Insights Manager and other researchers through regular coaching, project guidance, and feedback sessions.\nGain exposure to cross-functional partners, research vendors, and business stakeholders through team meetings and project reviews.\nDevelop practical experience in market research, survey design, customer segmentation, data analysis, and insight generation.\nStrengthen communication and storytelling skills by translating research findings into actionable recommendations for business leaders and stakeholders.\nQualifications:\nPursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Strategy, Market Research, Data Analytics, or related field.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly.\nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.\nAbility to solve problems independently and collaboratively using a structured approach.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office suite; experience with Copilot or similar AI tools preferred.\nKnowledge of survey and Customer research platforms such as Qualtrics, Alida, Medallia, Mintel, or NielsenIQ preferred.\nIf an hourly or salary range is included in this ad it represents the range 7-Eleven in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
