If you're ready to grow, lead and make a difference, come join our team and help shape the future of convenience.\nThe Data Engineer, CRM designs and implements scalable data capabilities that support customer segmentation, personalization, campaign activation, customer analytics, and measurement for 7-Eleven’s Customer Relationship Management organization.\nThis role integrates customer, transaction, loyalty, digital, campaign, and behavioral data from multiple source systems and builds trusted, curated datasets for customer profiles, segmentation, personalization, campaign execution, and campaign performance measurement.\nThe Senior Data Engineer develops and supports batch and near-real-time data solutions, improves the performance and reliability of production data workflows, and applies strong data engineering practices to ensure customer data is accurate, timely, secure, and fit for business use.\nThe role works across CRM, Marketing, Analytics, Product, Solutions Architecture, and Engineering teams. The successful candidate can independently own technical solutions, lead projects, translate business requirements into reliable implementations, and provide technical guidance to other engineers.\nKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:\nDesign, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and platform capabilities for CRM and customer data use cases.\nIntegrate customer, transaction, loyalty, digital, campaign, and behavioral data from multiple source systems.\nBuild and maintain curated datasets that support customer profiles, segmentation, personalization, campaign execution, and campaign performance measurement.\nDevelop data solutions for batch and near-real-time CRM activation and analytics use cases.\nOptimize existing data workflows and systems to improve performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.\nApply data engineering practices that ensure customer data is accurate, timely, secure, and fit for business use.\nPartner with CRM, Marketing, Analytics, Product, Solutions Architecture, and Engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.\nBuild data infrastructure that supports metrics, reporting, experimentation, business intelligence, and customer or campaign performance analysis.\nPartner with stakeholders to define data mappings, business rules, success metrics, and acceptance criteria.\nContribute to data engineering standards, processes, documentation, testing, monitoring, and operational support.\nProvide technical guidance to other engineers and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.\nStay current with data engineering, CRM, customer data platform, and marketing technology trends, and contribute ideas for new tools and approaches.\nCommunicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical implementations.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nEDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree\nYEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 4+ years\nSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:\nStrong technical foundation in Python, SQL, Spark, or PySpark.\nExperience with data modeling, customer analytics, data integration, and analytics workflows.\nExperience with one or more cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\nDeep understanding of data engineering fundamentals, including database architecture and design, ETL/ELT processes, data lakes, data warehousing, and batch and streaming technologies.\nExperience building and supporting production data pipelines and workflows.\nExperience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow and data processing platforms such as Spark or Databricks.\nUnderstanding of data quality, observability, governance, privacy, security, and access controls for customer data.\nExperience working with analytics teams and understanding metrics development, business intelligence requirements, and campaign or customer performance reporting.\nProven ability to independently own technical solutions, lead projects, and work effectively across multiple teams.\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.\nPreferred Experience:\n· Experience with customer relationship management, loyalty, marketing technology, customer data platforms, or campaign activation.\n· Experience with customer and marketing platforms such as Hightouch, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Vibes.\n· Experience supporting customer segmentation, identity resolution, audience creation, personalization, or marketing measurement.\n· Experience with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.\n· Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.\n· Experience with streaming and event-driven technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, or Event Hubs.\n· Experience with experimentation, attribution, marketing analytics, or customer lifetime value analysis.\n· Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and production monitoring.\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by the individuals assigned to this job.
