If you're ready to grow, lead and make a difference, come join our team and help shape the future of convenience.\n7-Eleven Distribution Canada Corp. is looking for a Delivery Assistant Manager (Nights) in our Edmonton, AB branch.\nThe Delivery Assistant Manager supports the Delivery Manager by overseeing the daily operations and overall success of the Delivery team. The role is responsible for managing productivity across delivery functions, ensuring workload balance, on-time departures, complete documentation, and a safe, organized workspace. This position promotes strong teammate engagement through daily huddles, coaching, performance reviews, and support for training and development. It also ensures accurate scheduling, compliance with driver and truck file requirements, and adherence to company policies, transportation regulations, and safety standards. The Delivery Assistant Manager plays a key role in maintaining professional customer service and responding to emergent operational issues as needed.\nKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:\nManage shift delivery productivity, including workload balancing, on time departures, documentation accuracy, and overall efficiency of delivery operations.\nLead daily team huddles and support strong teammate engagement through coaching, performance reviews, compliance monitoring, and corrective actions when required.\nOversee teammate scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels, accurate payroll time approvals, and proper equipment assignments based on volume.\nMaintain driver compliance with all driver tracking tools such as LYTX and GeoTab systems\nMaintain truck file documentation requirements, as well as transportation regulations and company policies.\nEnsure the Delivery team upholds professional and courteous customer service standards while representing the organization.\nMaintain fleet maintenance schedules and address maintenance issues promptly.\nPartner with Safety & Compliance to maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment aligned with internal policies, SOPs, and legal requirements.\nRespond to emergent or unforeseen operational issues as needed to support uninterrupted delivery service.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nEDUCATION: High School/GED\nYEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 3+ years\nYEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 1+ years\nCERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: Commercial Driver’s License preferred, as it supports general knowledge of the duties performed by direct reports and allows for emergency coverage when required\nSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:\nStrong knowledge of delivery operations, including workload balancing, on-time departures, and productivity management.\nAbility to coach, support, and engage teammates through performance feedback, training, and daily communication.\nSolid understanding of transportation regulations, driver compliance requirements, and documentation standards.\nProficient organizational and scheduling skills, including staffing coordination, time approval, and equipment assignment.\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond effectively to emergent or unforeseen operational issues.\nExcellent customer service skills with the ability to represent the department professionally.\nWorking knowledge of safety procedures and ability to partner with Safety & Compliance to maintain a safe work environment.\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nProfessional development and growth opportunities.\nA collaborative and supportive team environment.\nLocation: Edmonton, AB\nJob Type: Full-time\nSchedule: Tuesday-Saturday: 4:30pm - 12:30am\nIf an hourly or salary range is included in this ad it represents the range 7-Eleven in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
