This role owns the end-to-end lease accounting process for a large and complex lease portfolio, including accounting interpretation, month-end close, reporting, controls, audit support, and system governance. The role will also be responsible for managing monthly US GAAP to IFRS adjustments for reporting to international parent company.\nThe Senior Manager leads a team of six direct reports and provides oversight and direction to a shared-service lease accounting team located in India. This position partners closely with Real Estate, Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, and external auditors to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and operational excellence.\nKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:\nOwn and oversee all lease accounting activities under ASC 842 for real estate, equipment, vehicle, and other lease arrangements.\nMaintain lease accounting adjustments from ASC 842 to IFRS 16 for reporting to international parent company.\nEnsure accurate accounting for lease commencements, modifications, reassessments, impairments, renewals, terminations, and sale-leaseback transactions.\nReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and other supporting documentation for month-end close.\nOversee preparation and review of ASC 842 and IFRS 16 disclosures for external financial statements.\nProvide lease-related accounting guidance and reporting requirements for management and executive leadership.\nMaintain and strengthen internal controls related to lease accounting processes.\nCollaborate with Real Estate, Legal, and Finance teams throughout the lease lifecycle.\nPartner with IT and business stakeholders on lease management system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.\nServe as primary contact for lease accounting inquiries from internal and external audit.\nDirectly manage a team of two lease accounting professionals and four lease analysts.\nOversee the India-based lease accounting team, ensuring consistency, quality, efficiency, and adherence to service-level expectations.\nundefined\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nEDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr DegreeYEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 8+ years\nYEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 3+ years\nCERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: CPA preferred\nSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:\nStrong background in managing lease accounting for a large-scale real estate lease portfolio.\nExtensive knowledge of ASC 842 and U.S. GAAP.Knowledge of IFRS 16 preferred.\nExperience with lease management software platform, such as Manhattan.Experience with ERP and general ledger systems, such as Oracle.\nStrategic thinking and problem solving.\nLeadership and talent development.\nCross-functional collaboration and influence.\nProcess improvement and continuous improvement mindset.n\nIf an hourly or salary range is included in this ad it represents the range 7-Eleven in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
