Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (11 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders. Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership. The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems.\nResponsibilities:\nCode high-volume software using C++, Java, JavaScript or Python.\nImplement web interfaces/mobile applications using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Swift, Java or Kotlin\nBuild RESTful API’s and Microservices.\nReceptive to learning the team's technology stack including cloud, participate in design/code reviews, apply academic principles to solving the company's business problems\nQualifications:\nPursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field\nStrong, clear and concise communication and writing skills\nExceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills\nAbility to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nExcellent organizational and time management skills.\nExperience in C++, Java, JavaScript or Python\nProficiency in a programming language, familiarity with cloud services(AWS or Azure)\nProficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications\nIf an hourly or salary range is included in this ad it represents the range 7-Eleven in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
