Sr Data Engineer (Azure/ETL)

Hybrid mode: 2 office days/week Warsaw, Chmielna

About the Project

The focus of Team DataSaurus is to enable and deliver data analytics for the entire process of scoping an asset in the early phases to deciding to invest and further into operating the wind farm in the best way. Data is being ingested from multiple systems into a DWH solution and transformations are also being handled. On top of this a layer of PBI is being used to support the customers with analytic dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Developing a cloud data warehouse (Azure environment) processing financial and engineering data related to windfarms

• Cooperating with business stakeholders and product owner in order to fulfil ad-hoc needs and continuously

• Define backlog

• Building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines

• Development of T-SQL code performing data transformation

• Ensuring that data is made available in a way that is optimised for security, stability, and performance

• Close cooperation with front-end developers who build and maintain Power BI-based reporting layer

• Setting up monitoring and orchestration of data pipelines

• Working with application developers to establish and maintain data contracts

• Supporting future cloud provider change by migrating Azure-based resources into AWS cloud

Expectations

• Strong Azure Data Engineering experience

• Hands-on with Azure Data Factory (ADF) - must be advanced level

• Experience with Azure Synapse / Azure SQL DWH

• Strong T-SQL skills (complex transformations, performance tuning)

• Solid Data Warehousing experience

• Experience with dimensional modelling (Kimball)

• Knowledge of medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold)

• Proven work with end-to-end data pipelines (ETL/ELT)

• Experience working in large/enterprise environments

• Familiar with Git + CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub)

• Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud

• Strong English communication skills
