Contractors are engaged for specific assignments based on project requirements and mutual availability.\nEach assignment will have an anticipated duration and estimated weekly hour commitment, which will be shared and agreed upon before the engagement begins. Assignments may include a website build or an ongoing support engagement, or multiple engagements running concurrently, depending on project needs and contractor availability.\nThe Contract Project Manager is responsible for independently managing assigned website builds and support engagements, using project management best practices to keep work on track against scope, timeline, budget, and client expectations. This includes communicating with cross-functional teams, coordinating priorities and deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks, and maintaining clear communication with internal and client stakeholders. Contractors may provide services across multiple engagements and may maintain other clients or professional engagements, subject to applicable confidentiality and conflict-of-interest obligations.\nWhat You'll Do\nIndependently plan and manage assigned website projects in accordance with the applicable SOW.\n\nBalance stakeholder expectations regarding the project timeline, cost, and scope.\n\nBuild and manage an overall project plan that can deliver expected results.\n\nCoordinate project activities and communications necessary to achieve agreed-upon project outcomes.\n\nFacilitate and track adherence to the Statement of Work (SOW), including proactive management of change orders.\n\nCreate change order estimates and draft change order documents that are easily comprehensible for clients.\n\nIdentify and manage project risks, issues, decisions, and changes.\n\nCollaborate across multiple teams with a flexible, positive attitude and ability to manage results; team player.\n\nMonitors and communicates project status effectively, adjusts resources and priorities as needed, and ensures the team has the assets, tools, and support required to complete the project goals.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n3+ years of project management experience (agency experience ideal)\n\nProven track record & significant experience in delivering website projects using in depth knowledge of Project Management processes, methodologies, and practices.\n\nExpertise or deep familiarity within the website development process (WordPress knowledge is ideal)\n\nProven track record with cross-functional collaboration and achieving high client satisfaction\n\nExperience defining and managing project workflows.\n\nExperience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, design tools (Figma ideal) and project management tools (ClickUp ideal).\n\nComfortable with client-facing interactions and able to independently manage client relationships on smaller accounts when needed.\n\nComfort managing stakeholder expectations and feedback\n\nOutstanding interpersonal skills\n\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\n\nWell-rounded skills that include strong business acumen, strategic thinking, risk management, and tactical execution capabilities.\n\nDemonstrate initiative when presented with problems and has strong problem-solving skills.\n\nNice to have: Experience operating in a hybrid role, serving as both Account Manager and Project Manager on smaller accounts.\n\nWhat We Believe\nAt 829 Studios, we boldly embrace diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunity.
