Our vehicles run 24 hours a day across five markets.\nAbout the Role\nYou'll make sure our vehicles are ready to drive. You'll schedule maintenance, manage repair shops and vendors, direct our Fleet Specialists, and know at any hour what's down and why. This is a hands-on role. You'll spend as much time in the lot and the shop as at a screen.\nWe're hiring for San Francisco and San Diego.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn the preventive maintenance schedule for your market.\n\nCoordinate repairs and track every vehicle until it's back in service.\n\nManage outside shops and vendors, from scheduling through invoice review.\n\nDirect the day-to-day work of the Fleet Specialist team.\n\nTrack downtime and cost per vehicle, and keep maintenance records and inspections current.\n\nTake unsafe vehicles out of service and escalate safety issues right away.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n3+ years in fleet, automotive or vehicle maintenance (shop, dealership service, rental, delivery or transit fleet).\n\nWorking knowledge of vehicle systems and experience managing vendors.\n\nComfort with fleet software. We use Fleetio, Samsara and ServiceUp.\n\nAvailability for a 24-hour operation, including some nights, weekends and on-call.\n\nValid driver's license and clean driving record.\n\nNice to Have\nASE certification or technician background.\n\nEV or hybrid experience.\n\nExperience leading a small team.\n\nCompensation\nBase Salary: $71,000-$75,000 + equity\nEqual Opportunity Employer\n8Fleet is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
