The individual shall be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure. This position will be responsible for handling various tasks including but not limited to setup and management of SQL server maintenance plans, monitoring of SQL performance, database design and administration. This position does not require travel.\nJob Responsibilities:\nEstablishment and monitoring of SQL database Maintenance Plans \nMonitoring of SQL performance data \nMonitoring status and results of daily scheduled SQL jobs and packages \nSupport requests for unscheduled Database backups and restores \nWorking closely with web and report developers \nManaging database-related release activities for staging and production systems \nDeveloping, configuring and maintaining databases and related systems. This includes writing well-formed, efficient SQL queries, views, jobs and stored procedures \nAdherence to policies, processes and procedures within your areas of responsibility\nQualifications\nTalent Requirements:\nHighly organized and detail-oriented \nExcellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills \nExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities \nOne (1) year experience performing DBA like tasks \nTwo (2)+ years of broad-based IT experience \nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience with SQL Language (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE) \nFamiliarity with backups and restores including differential and transaction logs \nExperience with RDBMS - Primary Keys, Foreign Keys, Indexing \nUnique Records/Duplication \nKnowledge of transactions - Understand ACID Properties \nBasic data modeling skills \nAbility to provide on-call support outside normal business hours as needed \nWork Environment:\nOffice location; can sit for extended periods; minimal lifting.
