The candidate will have experience implementing a comprehensive Environmental Management Program (EMP) and an Environmental Management System (EMS).\nThe Environmental Manager will track updates to federal, state, and local legislation, including new regulations and requirements. He/she will manage all aspects of compliance and ensure that environmental standards are being followed daily, weekly, and monthly. He/she will also prepare reports on this compliance, or standards as needed for internal/external distribution.\nQualifications\nTalent Requirements:\nShall possess appropriate educational training in environmental management and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience within the past five (5) years. \nAppropriate educational training shall include at least a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, biology, engineering, or a related field, and supplemented by specialized training or certifications in areas such as hazardous materials management, air quality, water pollution control, and sustainability practices. \nShall have documented training in air quality management, underground storage tank management and monitoring, hazardous materials management, and stormwater and water pollution control management.\nRegistered Environmental Manager Certificate (REM)\nStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations required.\nExperience with environmental sustainability or related field preferred.\nAbility to prepare budgets and conduct cost-benefit analysis.\nAnalyze the cost/benefit of implementing projected sustainability measures.\nPrepare reports for internal and external distribution.\nMonitor and track the sustainability program to ensure the company is accomplishing environmental objectives.\nGood verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.\nProficient Computer Skills -Microsoft Office Suite (PPT proficiency required).\nStrong analytical skills.\nStrong technical expertise.\nMust have superior time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.\nTransit experience a plus. \nPreferred HASTUS experience\nMV Transportation is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.
