He/she will control the daily operation of our transportation contract, in compliance with the policies of the contracting agency and in conformance with company procedures.\nJob Responsibilities:\nEffectively manage the entire TigerTransit operation, ensuring that all key metrics are met on a daily basis. \nIdentify, select, train, and mentor location staff. \nSuccessfully lead a local team to a high standard of performance\nEffectively and frequently communicate support team members. \nOversee vehicle maintenance plan and ensure fleet availability to meet service requirements. \nOversee safety and training programs, plans and processes to ensure compliance with company, contract and regulatory requirements. \nMaintain client contact routinely exceed expectations. \nConduct periodic departmental audits. \nDaily, weekly and monthly review of key operational metrics. \nEnsure that all location financial metrics are managed continuously, exceptions are reported, and action plans are developed to ensure the location meets its financial, safety, and operational expectations. \nImplement, promote and adhere to company policies and procedures. \nParticipate in location(s) labor and employee relations activities. \nProvide insight and information to support location(s) contract renewals. \nCreate and present location(s) annual budget.\nQualifications\nTalent Requirements:\nMust have a minimum of (5) five years of comprehensive experience in operations management \nKnowledge of Tripshot and Excel software a plus.\nMust have experience with preparing reports and evaluation of service performance. \nMust have labor/union(s) negations/expenses expertise. \nMust have a full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and safety DOT and FMCSA compliance. \nMS Office, strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and high degree of multi-tasking skills. \nAdditional duties/responsibilities based upon individual contract requirements. \nMV Transportation is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.
