Our team provides the technical services required to sustain EDW applications to include Project Management, Data Warehouse Management, Advanced Analytics, Tableau Server Administration/Tableau Desktop Administration, Technical Collaboration Support, Lessons Learned, Executive Orders and Special Projects, Architectural Enhancement, and Cloud Migration. We also provide management, enhancement, integration, implementation, maintenance, modernization, and infrastructure support for EDW applications and enhancement and maintenance of business intelligence capabilities and predictive analytics. \n9th Way Insignia is looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our team.\nProfessional Level Information:\nThe Senior Database Administrator aligns to the Engineer 3 professional level within 9th Way Insignia’s career families. An Engineer 3 typically plans and directs research or development work on complex projects, along with engaging various parties in design and development. Costs and recommendations of new components may also involve part of the job scope. Performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the project and firm. An Engineer 3 oversees the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. An Engineer 3 has broad knowledge of engineering procedures and assists in the resolution of complex problems. An Engineer 3 has strong technical skills and background, a knack for learning new technologies, and a blend of good problem-solving and innovation needed to resolve a wide variety of technical production challenges.\nResponsibilities:\nMonitor Oracle, OBIEE and Informatica servers.\nUse tools like AppDynamics and Oracle Enterprise Manager to monitor application and storage performance, availability, and usage.\nTroubleshoot and resolve CPU performance issues and system resource bottlenecks.\nImplement Oracle database performance tuning and improvement processes, including AWR analysis, SQL tuning, partitioning, and parallel execution. \nMonitor nightly Informatica processes.\nExecute daily backup and recovery strategies using tools such as RMAN\nUpgrade, patch, and configure OBIEE and Informatica servers - patching experience is highly emphasized.\nConfigure and maintain OBIEE security (object-level and data-level access) to enforce least privilege. \nAct as a strong OBIEE administrator, collaborating with developers to optimize dashboards, queries, and metadata models (RPD). \nCollaborate with OBIEE/Informatica/Tableau/Power BI developers to develop performance improvement strategies and plans for execution.\nManage object partitioning and parallel executions.\nDevelop database compression strategies and storage efficiency.\nCoordinate patching and version upgrades with the VA's Office of Information Technology. \nPrepare, deliver, and maintain reports and technical documentation, including root cause analysis (RCA) write-ups.\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronic Engineering, or other Engineering technical discipline (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for degree)\n2+ years of relevant experience\nMust be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S\nMust be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance\nPreferred/Desired:\nCurrently cleared for Public Trust at tier 2 moderate level or higher\nExperience with troubleshooting Oracle GoldenGate replication issues and support data sync between source and target environments (preferred).\nExperience in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Recovery Manager (RMAN)\nExperience migrating Oracle database and BI tools from on premise to Cloud Environment\nExperience implementing Oracle database performance tuning and improvement processes\nExperience supporting OBIEE applications\nLocation\nFive days per week onsite at 1800 G St, NW Washington, DC 20006\nSalary Range\n$110,000—$120,000 USD\n9th Way Insignia’s range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
