application of our U.S. Government client.\nThis will be a 100% remote Contract-to-Hire position.\nMust be a US Citizen.\nSELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.\nResponsibilities\nEnsure that requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.\nTranslate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements.\nEstablish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development.\nDesign interfaces and bring system elements together so they work as a whole.\nAssess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.\nCustomer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.\nParticipate in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.\nContribute in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.\nGenerate system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.\nReview test plans/procedures and ensure they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participate in the testing process to validate requirements.\nModify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.\nWrite and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.\nWork as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.\nReview project requests describing database users' needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field is recommended.\n5+ years of mainframe experience using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2.\nPrior experience working with FOCUS COBOL.\nAbility of designing, coding and testing software requirements.\nBasic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.\nFamiliarity and knowledge of the Agile methodology is a plus.\nAbility to work independently.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.\nMust be a US Citizen (no dual citizenship).\nAble to obtain DoD Public Trust clearance.\nMust not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in the last 5 years.\nMust have resided in the US for the last 5
