This individual is also responsible for ensuring all equipment is in working condition and cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nSupports Cook(s) by gathering all items necessary for cooking food products in large quantities.\nLearns and cook's menu items in accordance with prescribed recipes.\nAssists Chef to maintain inventory for goods in chill, freezer and dry/canned goods on a weekly basis.\nAssists with packing and wrapping of cooked items for each event with proper color codes.\nAssists with maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen on a daily basis.\nPuts all equipment away in their proper place.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nScheduling:\nMeets assigned shift requirements.\nPhysical Ability:\nRegularly push, pull, and carry up to 50 - 75lbs on a regular basis.\nStand and walk at least 6-8 hours.\nReach at shoulder level and below waist constantly, above head occasionally.\nBend at waist occasionally.\nClose vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\nMental Ability:\nBasic math and writing.\nAbility to learn and practice new/innovative food preparation and service methods as determined by the company.\nAble to interact with guests and co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.\nAble to work independently or as part of a team.\nPossess problem solving and critical thinking skills.\nReading, writing, speaking, and comprehending the English language.\nPre-Employment Requirements:\nMust pass pre-employment physical and drug screening\nMust have passed a TB test within 5 years of start date with skin test\nEnvironmental Conditions:\nAble to work in a variety of temperatures\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or G.E.D. preferred\nExperience:\nPrior culinary experience and/or education required.\nDesired Skills:\nGood verbal and written communication skills\nGood interpersonal skills\nDesired Attributes:\nSelf-motivated\nAbility to work under minimal supervision\nDisclaimer:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
