This role will support SEC financial reporting, transaction, and compliance activities, with a focus on ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to US GAAP and SEC standards. This individual will partner with others to deliver high-quality reporting, support audit readiness, and strengthen financial reporting processes. environment.\n\nThis is a hybrid position that will be located in our Houston office. \n\nKey Responsibilities:\nExternal & Financial Reporting\nAssist in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements\nPrepare tie-out packages and execute quality control procedures for SEC filings\nSupport development and maintenance of reporting schedules and ad hoc reports for leadership and other stakeholders\nEnsure consistency and accuracy across multi-entity consolidation reporting\nConsolidation & Close Support\nSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes\nPrepare or review account reconciliations, rollforwards, and supporting schedules\nEnsure integrity and completeness of corporate-level financial data\nTechnical Accounting & Compliance\nSupport technical accounting research and implementation for complex transactions, including:- Business combinations (as applicable)- Other complex accounting areas as needed\nAssist in maintaining accounting policies and documentation\nEnsure financial reporting aligns with internal controls and compliance requirements\nAnalyze new accounting guidance (FASB, SEC, and other regulatory bodies), evaluate impact, and support implementation and related disclosures\nAudit & Controls Support\nServe as a contact for external auditors during annual audits and interim reviews\nPrepare and organize audit support schedules and documentation\nSupport ongoing internal control processes and documentation (SOX or similar frameworks)\nProcess Improvement & Reporting Efficiency\nIdentify and support opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and timelines\nSupport enhancements to financial systems and reporting workflows\nContribute to standardization across operating entities\nDesired Experience and Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting required\nCPA required\n4–7+ years of combined experience in public accounting and corporate SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.), preferably within Large Accelerated Filer environments\nStrong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements (including XBRL)\nProficiency in financial reporting tools (Workiva preferred) and Microsoft Excel\nExperience with ERP and consolidation systems\nExperience with stock-based compensation, earnings per share, business combinations, impairment, and other complex accounting topics is a plus\nIndustry experience in construction, engineering, or project-based environments is a plus\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nOperates at the highest standards of
