This role will report to the corporate director, EHSS and shall act as a liaison between the corporate EHSS Director and the North American EHS representatives with the primary goal of supporting EHSS initiatives and standardization methods for all NA facilities.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for ISO audit oversight which includes planning, scheduling, and execution of ISO audits at all North America facilities.\nAssist sites in the preparation of their audit, as well as aid with the closure of action items. In addition, this role will train and mentor new EHSS professionals to grow their auditing skill sets such that they join the audit program and conduct future audits.\nISO 14001/45001 Implementation and Audit Management\nIncludes full oversight of the EHSS ISO platform with emphasis on plant execution and performance.\nDevelop and manage a critical risk program; standardize the approach across business units.\nDrive risk reduction based on business initiatives.\nPrevent / control EHSS risks arising from operations or the business.\nLead critical EHSS projects, initiatives, and standardization efforts across North America.\nServe as a subject matter expert on; technical and regulatory aspects, EHSS management systems, technical standards, and EHSS best practices, specifically for facilities lacking formal EHSS expertise.\nEnsure facilities complete critical to compliance tasks prior to their required due dates.\nOn-board and train new EHS professionals on tools, systems, and program expectations.\nAssist in managing serious incident investigations and standardization of corrective actions across North American facilities.\nProvide strategic and tactical leadership of EHS systems to site EHS and plant leaders.\nFacilitate communication between corporate and individual locations.\nCollect, measure, and analyze regional and site EHS metrics and KPI performances, to discover trends for continuous improvement and/or corrective measures.\nManage or assist with regulatory agencies and external stakeholder EHS activities, including reporting, visits, or inspections.\nAssist EHSS director in aligning and implementing long-term EHS strategies and annual or short term EHSS action plans, projects or initiatives that effectively manages EHSS compliance and risk mitigation objectives with business and operational needs, operating plans, capital planning, resource staffing\nQualifications\nBachelor's in Occupational Health & Safety/ EHS or a related field required \n7+ years of related experience in a manufacturing setting\n2-3 years supervision/leadership experience.\nPrevious project management experience \nVelocity EHS software experience preferred\nWe Offer\nCompetitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits plans which include medical and dental insurance, company-sponsored life insurance, retirement security savings plan, short- and long-term disability programs and tuition assistance.\nADA Statement & EEO Statement\nIn developing this job description care was taken to include all competencies needed to successfully perform in this position.
