You will help improve developer experience, strengthen security, increase platform reliability, and advance operational excellence.\nThe ideal candidate brings deep expertise in AWS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, cloud security, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), along with a passion for mentoring engineers, solving complex challenges, and leveraging emerging technologies-including AI-powered tooling and automation-to improve engineering productivity.\nWhat You Will Do:\nDesign, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS.\n\nLead platform engineering initiatives that improve developer productivity, deployment velocity, and operational efficiency.\n\nDrive Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and help establish reusable patterns and engineering standards.\n\nBuild and enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and self-service platform capabilities.\n\nImprove observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response practices.\n\nPartner with engineering teams to improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and resilience.\n\nCollaborate with Security teams to strengthen cloud security, infrastructure hardening, access management, and compliance initiatives.\n\nEvaluate and implement new technologies, automation opportunities, and AI-powered engineering tools.\n\nLead technical discussions, architectural reviews, and infrastructure design decisions across teams.\n\nMentor engineers and contribute to the growth of DevOps, Platform Engineering, and SRE practices.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For:\n7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related disciplines.\n\nDeep hands-on experience designing, operating, and securing AWS environments.\n\nStrong expertise with Terraform; experience with Terramate or similar infrastructure orchestration tools is a plus.\n\nExperience managing containerized workloads using ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, or similar platforms.\n\nStrong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, or similar tools.\n\nExperience with observability platforms such as New Relic, Datadog, CloudWatch, or OpenTelemetry.\n\nStrong understanding of networking, cloud security, identity management, and distributed systems.\n\nExperience with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction across teams.\n\nProven ability to lead infrastructure initiatives and mentor engineers.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience operating large-scale, multi-account AWS environments.\n\nExperience building internal developer platforms and self-service infrastructure solutions.\n\nExperience implementing SRE practices including SLOs, SLIs, and reliability metrics.\n\nExperience supporting cloud security, compliance, and governance initiatives.\n\nFamiliarity with AI-powered developer tooling, automation platforms, or cloud-native AI services.\n\nAWS Professional, Security Specialty, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar cloud certifications.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like:\nDrive platform architecture decisions that improve scalability, reliability, security, and developer experience.\n\nLead impactful infrastructure and platform initiatives from design through implementation.\n\nEstablish engineering standards, automation, and operational best practices across teams.\n\nMentor engineers and elevate the organization's technical capabilities.\n\nHelp shape the long-term cloud, platform, and reliability strategy for A Place for Mom.\n\nCompensation:\nBase Salary: $150,000 to $180,000 + 10% Bonus\n\nBenefits:\n401(k) plus match\n\nDental insurance\n\nHealth insurance\n\nVision Insurance\n\nPaid Time Off\n\nAbout A Place for Mom\nA Place for Mom is the leading platform guiding families through every stage of the aging journey.
