Our background in car rental operations gives us first-hand insight into the challenges rental businesses face every day, and we are now investing in software development to turn that insight into commercial products.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nThis is a chance to join us at an exciting stage and help shape our software products from the ground up. You will work on a car rental and fleet management platform covering vehicle tracking, rental bookings, accident and claim management and operational automation, designed to be sold commercially to rental companies across the market. You will also help build software for accounting firms, including practice and workflow management, client data handling, compliance tracking and reporting tools, and integrate modern AI models to automate repetitive tasks, process documents and generate insights for our clients. You will work closely with the business from requirements through to deployment, with real influence over the architecture, technology choices and direction of each product.\n\nPosition Overview\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Developer Programmer for a full-time, permanent position based at our Lakemba office. You will be responsible for the design, development, deployment and ongoing support of our commercial software products.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign, develop, test and maintain web and mobile applications for our car rental, accounting and AI products\n\nBuild backend services and RESTful APIs using C# and .NET Core, and integrate third-party systems such as payment gateways, insurance providers, vehicle data services and accounting platforms\n\nDesign and optimise SQL Server / MySQL databases for application and reporting needs\n\nDevelop responsive front-end interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and a modern framework (React, Angular or Vue)\n\nDeploy and maintain applications on Azure / AWS using CI/CD pipelines, and support live production systems\n\nAnalyse client and business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and documentation\n\nIntegrate AI models and services into product features\n\nApply Agile practices, including code reviews, automated testing and Git version control, and mentor junior developers\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\nMinimum 3 years’ experience as a Developer Programmer, Software Developer or Software Engineer\n\nStrong full-stack skills in C#, ASP.NET MVC / .NET Core, SQL Server and a modern JavaScript framework\n\nExperience with RESTful API design and integration, cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) and Git\n\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field\n\nStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently and in a team\n\nHighly Desirable\n\nExperience building commercial or multi-client software products\n\nExperience with accounting, finance or fleet management systems, or with AI model
