We are seekinga motivated, organized, and experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple highway construction projects. This position involves a combination of office and field responsibilities, with significant timespent on jobsites overseeing crews, coordinating operations, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple awarded projects from initialplanning through completion.
- Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule crews, equipment, materials, and resources to meet project deadlines.
- Oversee daily field operations, monitorcrew productivity, and ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and schedules, making adjustmentsas necessary.
- Communicate regularly with foremen, contractors, customers, and inspectors to coordinate work and resolve concerns.
- Identifyand address scheduling conflicts, jobsitechallenges, and unexpected project delays.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and coordinate materials and supplies needed to complete assigned projects.
- Maintain accurateproject documentation and track work progress.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previousexperience in construction project management, field supervision, or a relatedleadership role.
- Experience in highway construction, pavement marking, or traffic safety preferred, but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, crews, and competing priorities.
- Understanding ofconstruction methods, materials, equipment, and project cost management.
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn company-specific systems.
Work Schedule & Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including daytime and nighttime operations, based on project needs.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight for up to one week when necessary.
- Ability to regularly visit and oversee active highway construction jobsites and work outdoors in varying conditions.
