We believe everything you do outside of work adds to who you are at work.\nNOTE: This role is hybrid and requires 3 days onsite in our Walnut Creek, CA office.\nJOB SUMMARY\nOur Accountant will be responsible for the following essential functions.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nGeneral Ledger (GL) Maintenance\nIndependently manages the posting and verification of financial data, leading trial balance reviews and continuous close readiness while resolving diverse, complex issues.\n\nSystem Oversight\nOversees daily automated transaction flows, adapting existing approaches to resolve sophisticated exceptions and data integrity issues within the Workday ERP.\n\nMonth-End Execution\nDrives full-cycle month-end closing activities, independently devising solutions and completing complex journal entries, accruals, and comprehensive bank reconciliations.\n\nAsset Management\nFully maintains the fixed asset ledger, using judgment to evaluate and execute depreciation and disposal strategies in strict accordance with GAAP.\n\nAudit Support\nEvaluates financial documents based on limited precedent, ensuring comprehensive readiness, accuracy, and strategic compliance for internal and external audit reviews.\n\nCollaboration\nEnhances relationships and networks with senior partners, adapting communication styles to advise and persuade others on difficult financial reconciliation matters.\n\nKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES\nComplete knowledge and full understanding of GAAP, accounting principles, and specialized practices within the discipline.\n\nAdvanced proficiency in Workday ERP, complex variance analysis, and sophisticated problem-solving tools.\n\nEvaluates, interprets, and uses independent judgment to select the right course of action for diverse scope problems.\n\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business field\n\nMinimum of 5 years of related experience or 3 years and a Master’s degree, or 9 years of related experience without a Bachelor’s degree\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nActive CPA license or significant progress toward certification is preferred.\n\nDISCLAIMER\nThe job functions listed describe the general nature and level of work being performed by team members assigned to this job.
