we are.\nROLE PURPOSE\nKey duties & responsibilities:\n\nAudit Delivery\nExecute the planning, fieldwork and completion of audit assignments in line with internal processes, professional standards, budgets and deadlines.\nTake responsibility for key aspects of audit engagements, managing delivery expectations and escalating issues at an early stage.\nIdentify and undertake more complex audit areas during fieldwork, seeking guidance where appropriate.\nReview draft accounts and assist in resolving client queries.\nAttend and actively contribute to audit planning, progress and clearance meetings.\nEnsure audit work is completed accurately, efficiently and to the required quality standards.\nAct as the client's primary point of contact during audit fieldwork, building strong working relationships and providing ongoing support.\n\nClient Management\nSupport the management and development of a portfolio of clients.\nBuild strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues.\nDeliver an efficient, proactive and responsive service to clients.\nIdentify opportunities where additional services may add value and introduce relevant specialists where appropriate.\nSupport the growth and retention of existing client relationships.\n\nTeam Leadership & Development\nManage work delegated to junior team members while retaining responsibility for overall delivery.\nCoach, mentor and support less experienced colleagues.\nProvide constructive feedback and encourage continuous development.\nDemonstrate effective people management skills, including delegation, motivation and support.\n\nCommercial Management\nDemonstrate an understanding of recoverability, budgets, WIP, lock-up and scope management.\nAssist with fee preparation and undertake complex WIP analysis.\nContribute to the effective management of engagements to ensure profitability and efficiency.\n\nTechnical & Quality\nMaintain strong technical accounting and audit knowledge.\nEnsure compliance with the firm's quality control procedures and professional standards.\nConsult with Managers, Directors and Partners on technical and risk matters where appropriate.\nKeep up to date with professional developments and continuing professional education requirements.\n\nBusiness Development\nParticipate in tenders, proposals and presentations for new work opportunities.\nSupport wider marketing and business development activities.\nHelp develop opportunities from existing client relationships.\nBuild professional networks that contribute to the growth of the firm and wider service line.\nExperience & qualifications\nEssential\nACA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent professional qualification.\nNewly qualified candidates will be considered.\nPrevious experience in a similar audit role within practice.\nExperience working directly with clients and managing stakeholder relationships.\nStrong technical accounting and audit knowledge.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.\n\nDesirable\nExperience supporting the management of a client portfolio.\nExperience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.\nExposure to business development and networking
