From reducing our environmental impact, to supporting education through training and talent programmes, to giving back to our local communities with our charitable initiative ABBIE- ESG is part of who we are.\nROLE PURPOSE\nKey duties & responsibilities:\nFull ownership of the monthly management accounting cycle for your hotel portfolio.\nComplete management accounting pack reviews of profit & loss and balance sheet, ensuring variances and areas of risk are identified and actioned appropriately.\nPrepare monthly/quarterly VAT returns and assist with VAT inspections as required. \nReview the work the Finance Assistant, providing coaching and development, and working to improve efficiency of daily processes.\nOverall responsibility for Bank Reconciliation and Accounts Payable controls, supporting the Finance Assistant with process improvements, and in reaching resolution for any outstanding issues.\nPreparation of year end audit files, and liaising with auditors during clients’ external audits.\nEnsure compliance with policies, procedures and audit requirements by maintaining robust controls. \nContribute to a culture of continuous improvement, helping you and your team generate ideas to develop processes and controls.\nDealing with ad hoc queries and requests from hotel and client teams.\nAssist the Financial Controllers in developing systems and process controls to provide a robust control environment which meets client needs\nComplete ad hoc accounting and project work as required.\nExperience & qualifications\n Qualified\nQualified by experience, Desirable but not essential Qualified or working towards (ICAS/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)\nMinimum Level of Experience\nPreferably hotel accounting experience with management accounting experience (ideally working on a client portfolio) Supervision experience desirable.\nSkills Required\nProactive self-starter with ability to problem solve.\nOrganising and prioritising work to meet reporting deadlines. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nHigh level of IT literacy, including strong Excel skills. \nAccuracy and attention to detail.\nExperience of Business Central highly desirable.\nHotel knowledge would be advantageous.\nWHAT AAB OFFER\nWe want you to feel supported inside and outside of work.
